Pastor Joseph Mhaka Chikosi
Born on 14 February 1957, in Mutare Zimbabwe, within a background of a very religious mother and grandmother, Pastor Joseph Chikosi received his personal experience with the Lord in 1977. He received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire like a rushing mighty wind just as on the day of Pentecost. Immediately he began to witness and preach the gospel of salvation by the Lord Jesus Christ in trains, buses, markets and at schools as he was a teacher. Finding no spiritual satisfaction in his former Methodist Church, he began searching for the truth and fullness of God! The Holy Ghost graciously led him to the End Time Message preached by the Prophet, William Marrion Branham. His search stopped as his hunger was filled and his thirst was immediately quenched. He was greatly blessed and enriched by the anointed ministry of the End Time Prophet and he grew fast in Grace.
In 1980 he got married to sister Annie and they were blessed with seven children who by grace are also serving the Lord. He served the Lord in his local church as a song leader and a deacon. In 1981 Pastor Chikosi was led to leave his city of Harare to establish a church in Mutare. In 1987 he built and dedicated the first Message Tabernacle in his country. It was built in seven months. A little later he became the first designated Message Marriage Officer in his country. His ministry was accompanied by deliverances, healings, signs, wonders and miracles. In 1989 his church in Mutare had a great visitation and a Holy Ghost revival that changed many lives. Many received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in a visible way and the secrets of the hearts were disclosed. Divers gifts, discernments and manifestations of the Holy Ghost followed this revival and many prophetic utterances went forth. Many sister churches sprang up from this revival and even across the border into nearby Mozambique. He travelled much as his evangelistic ministry compels him. Many Conventions, Youth Camps, Special meetings and Married Couples meeting were held. In these meetings hundreds were touched and received the Holy Ghost. Many lives were changed. He ordained many ministers.
After almost nineteen years as a successful pastor of Bible Believers Tabernacle in Mutare, Pastor Chikosi felt a burden to establish the Highlands Church in Harare where a few believers had gathered in a small fellowship. Pastor Dennies Kabaira was ordained to take his place in Mutare as an associate pastor and three other pastors took up pastor-ship in the nearby locations as the main church was decentralise to reach out into the other suburbs. God opened a door of utterance at the University of Zimbabwe at that time and many young people accepted the message. Within a few years the Highlands church was well established in Harare. The pastor had a sure gift of establishing churches by his evangelistic calling. His dedication, sincerity, honesty and a powerful charismatic presentation of the Gospel attracted many to the faith. They were just drawn in! They kept coming!
In 2007, Pastor Chikosi felt a burden to establish another church in the United Kingdom where a few believers had gathered in a small fellowship in Sheffield. The Highlands church was left under the supervision of an associate pastor. Presently Pastor Maanda is the associate pastor. Having established two churches before and being gifted in this area, the church in Sheffield was quickly established. He is the pastor today of End Time Evangelism Ministries in Sheffield, United Kingdom. He remains the founder and senior pastor of the other two churches that he established. He travels much to honour the numerous invitations and to see the progress and wellbeing of believers in the Churches that he established. He is a seasoned and mature minister, an elder and apostle indeed besides being a very gifted Convention speaker. He is a pastor with a worldwide ministry. His desire is to see established, a personal relationship between the Lord Jesus Christ and the believer by the indwelling Holy Spirit and fullness of the riches of his word. God bless you as you follow his God given ministry. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word! Amen!
